Collection: Ibn Khaldun
Ibn Khaldun (1332-1406) was a judge, university scholar and diplomat, known for his works in sociology, economics, commerce, history, philosophy, political science and anthropology. His most famous book titled "Al-Muqaddimah" (Introduction to a History of the World) gave a profound and detailed analysis of civilization through a comparative study of the rise and fall of human societies. His methodology was revolutionary by explaining that history is not just a compilation of facts, but it relies heavily on who is interpreting them, what region they come from and when as well as their impartiality.
